Find files on NAS after startup (1 Viewer)

Hello there,


I keep all my tv series on a NAS (a HDD in my local network). I set MP to automatically start at Windows startup.

So when My TVSeries is looking for the files on my NAS (right after Windows startup), most of the time the network connection isn't established yet, so My TVSeries can't connect to the NAS and therefore can't find any tv series.

Is there a way to fix this? Like a delay or something?

You can run a manual import from the GUI when it is ready.

Hi utokallegba

you can use this small utility that basically waits untill it can ping the specified host

create startMediaportal.cmd which contains the following :

pingwait <ip of your NAS>
c:\Program Files (x86)\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\MediaPortal.exe

(Obviously if your using 32 bit windows it would be c:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\MediaPortal.exe

Then just put startMediaPortal.cmd in your startup
