I have some problems with CommonInterface.exe. It keeps popping up unless if I'm watching TV (using the floppyDTVS2) My first question is if this relates to what cbadk describes as "CAM drop out issue , where the cam becomes unavailable"?

I've installed Firewire1394DriverNew_rev3_2.zip hoping it would solve my problems with CI. I run Vista32 SP1 with one FloppyDTVS2. After installing the driver, the version number of 1394bus.sys contains vistasp1_ldr however ohci1394 contains vista_rtm. Weren't they both supposed to be vistasp1_ldr?

1) It might help on that issue, since it fixes some dropout/packet issues there has been

2) If you take a look at the fileversion it says 6.0.6001.22303 and the product version says 6.0.6000.16386 (ohci1394_c2.sys under the tab details). So it seams that the product version isent updated to 6.0.6001.22303 ., so if both files are saying _c2.sys at the end of the filename everything is fine and working. :D

Hi.

You sould download the version for Window$ XP. You can download it here Help and Support
Be sure to check if its the right version in device manager.

It sould show:
Windows XP SP2 version
Ohci1394.sys 5.1.2600.3473
Or Windows XP SP3 version
Ohci1394.sys 5.1.2600.5706

If it dosent work i can make a "force driver" pack for you. :)

Just tested and no problems with XP(sp3) so the ms KB works.

Thanks!

You might wanna try the XP 32 bit version of the driver. Since Windows 2003 is based on XP kernel you sould be able to use it.
I have a 32 bit version of Windows 2003. I will give it a try and report back..and... if it works...i could make a Windows 2003 pack.... :)

    Windows 2003

I made this new driverpack for windows XP AND windows 2003. Try it and report back :)

Just unrar it and run install.bat

It might and it might not...many of the problems that comes with firedtv products are may be caused by the firewire chipset(MCE-Community.de > Dual-Tuner-Betrieb DVB-C mit FloppyDTV ). I've heard that Adaptec AFW-4300 sould fix some of the problems with lagging/pixel errors. So if you still experience errors i would suggest you tried a different firewire chipset.

But I have no problem at all under XP. I have problems only under vista and only after a resume from standby (if I restart fresh I have no problem at all)... Restart of mediaportal at resume seems to have no effect. Another strange thing: i have problems only with live tv.
