    Hi

I was looking for a way to reduce the first tune time down.

I'm running the custom data grabber branch (it has the turbosight code merged in for my TBS6981)

Channel changes I'm happy with, 3 seconds on average for an encrypted HD channel. What is still slow is the first tune, around 8 seconds - not a problem for me but negative waf points occur here and remote control button bashing occurs lol

I have attached the tv log.

From what I can see the actual tune request happens very fast
    2013-02-19 08:39:44.301402 [(5)]: dvb:confused:ubmit tunerequest calling put_TuneRequest
    2013-02-19 08:39:44.302402 [(5)]: dvb:confused:ubmit tunerequest done calling put_TuneRequest
So the delay is elsewhere - the only significant gap I could see was:
2013-02-19 08:39:40.586321 [(5)]: RemoteControl: RegisterChannel first called in Domain TVService.exe for thread with id 5
    2013-02-19 08:39:43.591387 [(5)]: card: CardTune 2 ITV1 HD dngbat-HTPC:2:-1
    A gap of 3 seconds

Not sure what this line is actually doing
Card preload is enabled and looks like it does happen from what I can see in the log.

    Hope someone can help

    Thanks
    Ian

I thought I would also add, if this time cannot be reduced to around 3/4 seconds then maybe an on screen indicator that mepo is doing something should shown or perhaps go full screen with the player, it will be black but at least you know it's doing something

Currently you select a channel, then nothing happens, after 4 seconds you then wonder if you actually pressed the button so you start pressing buttons again but mepo appears unresponsive due to it currently tuning the channel

No, would that cause the initial tune delay?

I have 127.0.0.1 as the ip, win defender disabled, no av

I'll try disabling ipv6 when I get home.

    Thanks
