Hi
I was looking for a way to reduce the first tune time down.
I'm running the custom data grabber branch (it has the turbosight code merged in for my TBS6981)
Channel changes I'm happy with, 3 seconds on average for an encrypted HD channel. What is still slow is the first tune, around 8 seconds - not a problem for me but negative waf points occur here and remote control button bashing occurs lol
I have attached the tv log.
From what I can see the actual tune request happens very fast
2013-02-19 08:39:44.301402 [(5)]: dvbubmit tunerequest calling put_TuneRequest
2013-02-19 08:39:44.302402 [(5)]: dvbubmit tunerequest done calling put_TuneRequest
So the delay is elsewhere - the only significant gap I could see was:
2013-02-19 08:39:40.586321 [(5)]: RemoteControl: RegisterChannel first called in Domain TVService.exe for thread with id 5
2013-02-19 08:39:43.591387 [(5)]: card: CardTune 2 ITV1 HD dngbat-HTPC:2:-1
A gap of 3 seconds
Not sure what this line is actually doing
Card preload is enabled and looks like it does happen from what I can see in the log.
Hope someone can help
Thanks
Ian
