By your description I think you have solved a problem I have been experiencing on some channels. First I thought it was bad signal but I haven't found any evidence of it yet I have described the here: issue https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/bugreports-74/video-continuity-error-only-when-fullscreen-87391/

I will test your dll file and cross my fingers that a very annoying problem has gone

uhh, looks like the description of the problem I'm facing just recently!
I am using Mediaportal on this hardware for some years, but just some weeks ago, live tv started the stuttering in live tv of german hd channels or pro7 ... will test your patch this evening and post you some feedback.

unfortunately, the fixed dll does not help for my issue with late b-frames and video continuity errors :-( [attached my logs ... if someone knows how to fix this] there is no change in the stuttering behavior.

but maybe, I'm completely off topic here in this thread ...

Hi Gonzo,

Are you sure its not a signal problem? When it happens if you skip step back 30 seconds and watch it through again does it start happening again at the same point? If it does its likely a signal problem. If not then its probably a problem similar to this.

Could you post streamingserver.log and tswriter.log from your server and i'll take a look.

This patch fixes all juddering on HD channels thats, this is fantastic

This should really be included in the 1.1.0 hopefully 1.2.0

the mystery is, that today I don`t face any troubls, but yesterday was a really crappy evening :-(
Thats why I added the tswriter log from yesterday. I could not get the streamingserver log from yesterday, so I attached the one from today which looked really the same, expect the dates for sure

ahh and for your info, I reverted back to the original streamingserver.dll, as your patched one did not seem to work for me.

Gonzo you have a lot of these errors in tswriter. Ive only ever seen them caused by a bad signal. It might be a good idea to get your dish checked out

What signal strength/quality values do you get?
