mylle: if you patch DirectShowFilters (.cpp and/or .h) files, you also need to build filters yourself. Check "VS Environment Setup.txt" for info ;)

Sorry I didn't read your post properly :) :sorry:

No applying the patch is fine and compiling should be ok, you don't need to replace the binaries.

Did you build the DirectShow filters in release mode? - you need to do this before building either installer. If you've not done this before it might be easier to just replace the binaries (it's not quick to to set up a compile environment for these)

    Thanks :)

No. i never tried building the Direct Show filters before.

All i have ever done is to update the SVN trunk and apply various patches and then use the two bat files from the build directory

    mediaportal client built release.bat
    and
    tv-server client build release bat

I wil try the binaries :)

    Thanks alot.

    regards

    Hi,

Updated to SVN27238 today and applied you patched and then build the installer. Now i get an unknown error when trying to tune a channel :(

It might not have anything to do with your pache but hopefully someone could look at my logs and see whats going on?

    Thanks
    Mylle

    Rebuild the DirectShowFilters also.

There are changes to the TSWriter too.

Binaries and patch files added for 1.1.2 and 1.2.0 Alpha.

Please remember to back up the existing files before replacing them if you haven't got copies.

    Thanks again for testing ;)

Hi, first I want to review my setup:
I timeshift to ramdrive so i do not issues with drive performance.
I use UNC timeshift paths on client so streamingserver is not taken into account

Last night i had been tasting v3 patch and i was getting discontinuities in tsreader log while doing this. I have checked count of discontinuities on server side but it was not growing.
I started to test diffirent combinations of the patch: patched server patched tsreader, svn server pathed tsreader and so on
After that tests i discovered that im getting discontinuities with patched tstreader so i blame it in that issue( is it possible?).
No logs because it is useless, only fact of discontinuity is logged.

Ill continue my tests in next day but want to share first results.
    :D

Romuz, there does seem to be a problem with the patch when used on network paths confirmed by disaster123. Would you be able to post your tsreader.log so I can confirm if it's the same issue? Thanks

Do you get the problems on single seat as well? (if you use one)

Did you test v2 of the patch with the same results?

    Thanks

:D There's actually very few changes in tsreader so hopefully the problem won't be hard to track down :)

Edit: actually tsreader from V2 will be identical to V3 so don't worry about testing it.

Did some testing on the latest WVN today and it's working perfectly for me. And with this fix the artifacts I always had on HD channels when using the Microsoft codec (Win 7 x64) are gone!
Thank you very much for all your effort, it's a huge progress on my system.
