What do you mean that you had not updated everything?

I have a very similar issue with my installation (running WIN7) however. Tv stops, black screen, after about 15 seconds. I can switch channel and then it works for about 15 seconds again.

Updates through windows update.

Since the original problem is solved please do the following:

Try to reproduce the problem with 1.1.0 RC3.
If it does not work, start a new thread in the RC3 section following the guidelines.

hmm ... that usually happens when windows media center service is enabled..

check your services if its off ?
