After getting help with scanning channels yesterday, I've come to the next step. I can get SD-channels to work, but when testing with BBC HD, I just get a black screen. MP should use the Cyberlink codec. That's what I've "told it to do" through setup anyway. Tried with avc, but it crashes whichever tv-app I use it in. Any ideas as to why I don't get any picture? I do get both sound and picture from BBC HD with DvbViewer, but it doesn't quite meet my expectations (strange frame rate issue and f*cked up support for VMR9).

I would have liked to test with more HD-channels, but it appears my scan hasn't really found the ones I could use. No Astra, none of the German ones that I can think of, none of the Scandinavian ones... Scan was performed after a transponder update (the built-in one). Are there alternative sources for updated lists?

well, whats you h.264 codec you configured in MediaPorta Configuration -> Televison?

dvb-s2 channels are working like a charm here with coreavc 1.6 and cyberlink powerdvd deluxe codec, when using tsreader by creating "usetsreader.txt" on c: :)

Using tsreader? This sounds like something I should have known about :) MediaPortal is set to use the Cyberlink codec. Will try latest version of CoreAVC later today.

Cheers. Will try that when I get home from work.

Do you have any ideas regarding the transponder lists?

You may want to try different audio codecs too. Although it's the picture you're after, at least using Cyberlinks own audio codec is giving black screens to many with TsReader (happens to me on every setup I've used). You could try MPA or DScaler audio codec to see if it makes any difference.

Thanks guys. Using the new filter, and also deciding to buy the new coreavc really made BBC HD run great! Now I only need to find a way to tune in the rest of the HD-channels and everything is perfect.:D

Guess I spoke just a little bit too soon. If I run MP with the Cyberlink codec I still get no picture on HD-channels. If I run MP with the new CoreAVC, it crashes whenever I swith between HD-channels. First one works, then it crashes.

    More ideas? :)
