No experience with RAID stuff, but I'd be surprised if changing the sound drivers affected it (but it's not impossible) - and if rolling it back to an earlier restore point doesn't fix it then it might just be coincidental.

Try re-installing the RAID drivers and/or check the BIOS settings.

Do the drives appear in Device Manager ?

    Hi Tony,

Took the machine into where I bought it and 1 of my drives is dead and because I opted for RAID 0, I have lost everything - gutted!!

It's nothing to do with what I did around the drivers - it just died. This is the 2nd time, however the previous time it gave me warning and I was able to copy off data. Anyhow, it has not been the best week with the Media Centre to say the least  Because it's all on warrenty including installation, I'm going to replace both drives with 2 x 1.5 terrabyte drives and mirror them.

Looks like I will be up for a re-build!!

    Hi Tony,

Up and running again with mirrored 1.5 TB disks now. Have upgraded to Vista SP2 and loaded all new drivers and now on MP Version 1.0.2.0.

Will see how sound issues go from here. Only issue I had was that in Windows Explorer and MP, my disk size is only 365GB instead of 1,500GB - any ideas?

Bed now (been a long night of setup)

All going well so far with updated drivers, Windows SP2 and MP V 1.0.2.0, including sound after S3 resume .... hope it continues :)

    Hi,

Everything still OK, including sound and waking from S3 sleep for recordings.

I have also found my low volume issue - under MP Config --> Volume Settings --> Control I had it set to "Master Volume" instead of the default "Wave" - would have thought Master Volume would have been the right setting??

Only issue I'm finding now under V 1.0.2.0 is that I get stuck in MP with my MCE Remote Control and cannot get out i.e. bring up the options along the top and select "Exit" (Top Right) Any ideas there? Cannot find anything in the Forums??

    Cheers

    Hi,

Still have this issue where sometimes I cannot get out of MP i.e. the 4 icons do not appear with the option on the right to exit. Have also had issues with video out of synch with audio since moving to Windows Vista SP2 and MP V 1.0.2.0 - have struggled to find other forums about this. I have the same Video and Audio codecs set as MP V 1.0.0.0??
