When using MP-TV Series it's not finding a particular series. When pointing to the directory I get "Found 0 supported video files in your import paths"

The files are .h264 in the mp4 container. The naming of the files are standard, for example: Star Trek- Enterprise.S01E07.The Andorian Incident

What am I doing wrong? I've read up on this plugin as much as I can but I'm having trouble identifying why the it's not seeing the files as supported? I've just built my first media centre here so I'm new to MP. I like it a lot so far but this is one thing I can't work out.

Cheers

    Check MediaPortal Configuration has the mp4 extension:

    * Open Configuration
    * Select Videos
    * Select Video Extensions

    Confirm .mp4 is in that list.

    The extension is the only criteria for the "supported file" though. Are you sure they are .mp4? How is the extension displayed in the config, with or without the dot?

    Please post your logs.

    I'm pretty sure m4v is not an a default video extensions so you will probably have to add it to the list.

    I sure hope that is the solution... I've been pulling my hair out on this whole thing...

    .m4v is what handbrake came up with when ripped on the "normal" profile...

    Thanks :)

    M4V is Apple iTunes container format, so you might want to check your Handbrake settings, and use MKV container. Unless of course you have Apple hardware such as an iPad2/etc that prefers the Apple containers.

    for me this happens because since 1.1.3 the database seems to keep crashing over and over again. even when I reainstalled it it didn't help - even MP didn't want to start anymore.

    So I changed from MySQL to M$SQL and it worked for almost 2 months now flawlessly, since yesterday I've got the same problem.

    I may have to notice, that I have about 80 Series in my Collection with a total of around 8.000 episodes..
