hi natrlhy,

thanks for your feed back..... I will try and make the changes for you before next weeks release :) The one condition for the wife letting me run this skin at home was having the recorded tv at the top of the tv menu.... (she is a big fan of the brighter more colourful skins) however I don't see any problem with moving search up the pecking order...

The icon set is taking some time to produce... I have Chris working on it right now, while I focus on some on the generic layout art work and xml files... I hope to have some new icons out for v1.0.4 next thursday...

    Hi Rich,

What about including some different background.png files that would "brighten" things up that one could select durning the install of your skin? I know there is more to it than that and it might require an overhaul of all your graphics. I love the darker skins but my wife is the same as well... leans towards the brighter skins as well ;)

I also noticed in the My TV Series, the page indicator (1/2, etc) is in the middle of the TV series banner. This screenshot doesn't have the banner, but it ends up being right over the selected Series banner image.

Maybe move this to the bottom right hand corner?

    I can't wait for your additions! ;)

Are there currently any 16:10 skins available for download? as there is no section for them in the skin download section?

    rsparey,

as far as I know there are no 16:10 skins out there. Yours would be the first one.
Having said that, I am using my screen with a 1920:1200 resolution .... so, being selfish here, would be possible for you to create your 16:10 version for this resolution?

Thanks in advance and keep up that fantastic skin!

Different backgrounds should be faily easy to implement... all graphics are drawn as vectors, so adding transparency is a faily easy process... to be honest I should have thought about that before I started... We will look to add some backgrounds once the "classic" foofaraw skin is more refined. The tv series plugin seems to be the one causing the most grieve at the moment.. so I will try and look at it this week... I failed to get the plugin to work last time I tried it...

As for 1920:1200 16:10 resolution... I might need to export my vector graphics at a higher reolution for this one... I should be able to do this as I can drive my primary monitor at 2048:1536 and run mediaportal in a window for development purposes.. My plan is to develop 16:10 and 4:3 in tandum once 16:9 is slightly more mature.

    Regards

I am pleased to say work has begun on the 16:10 version of foofaraw... And I expect to release the first version next week.(please note a 16:10 section in the skins directory, thanks mediaportal web people) I am skinning at 1366x854 to make the conversion from 16:9 very simple. It is my plan to upgrade the resolution of the skin at a later date... but this will involve a rewrite of the xml files from the ground up... Special thanks to revs and nylonhof for Voulenteering to test my pre-release.

    Regards

    Rich

We will spend the next week finalising the first release of foofaraw 16:10 before dropping back on to the development of foofaraw "classic".
