At the moment we are busy working on the 4:3 version of this skin.. I belive the tv server can be made to work with the foofaraw skin, by copying the missing xml files from bluetwo.

To get Foofaraw working just go into your 'skins\foofaraw' folder and copy
MyTVhome.xml & MyTVScheduler.xml then paste these back into the same folder - they will take on their name with 'copy of' appended to the front...
Now just rename those two files to ; 'MyTVHomeServer.xml & MyTVSchedulerServer.xml respectivley.
You should now be able to get TV working with TVE3, you will probably also need to copy MyTVConflicts.xml from Bluetwo to the Foofaraw folder if you plan to do any recording.

** I have the names typed slightly wrong as I'm at work so have MP here, so you may want to check them against B2.. but it should put you in the right direction.***

My new default! Amazing Skin!!!

Rsparey and team working on foofaraw,

Wow!!! I didn't foresee my beloved mepo being replaced (especially since he now has those snazzy animations with the latest SVN builds) but this skin is almost exactly what I was looking for. I saw earlier in the thread that RSparey said that he didn't use the newer MP-TVSeries plugin. I couldn't suggest it more. Truly a WOW! plugin and I swear I have nothing to do with the development of it. :D It is just one more of the many reasons that I am constantly blown away by Mediaportal. Foofaraw looks great for me with the current tvseries.xml file from the SVN builds.

For the record, I am running SVN-Rev13386 and have experienced no real issues (just a few minor graphic bugs that have already been reported). I did notice that the weather is not overlaid on your plugin like it is in blue two wide svn. Is there an easy way to get this to work (like copying particular blue two SVN xml files; I know that the weather overlay plugin has nothing to do with the blue two wide overlay so I am not TOUCHING that thing :))?

Oh yeah, and the dark green highlights with the black color scheme is BRILLIANT.

Okay, I have gone on too long now,
THANKS AGAIN FOR THIS GORGEOUS SKIN!!!

 Damn. I guess I could have at least tried before I posted that question.

I kinda got it to work. I copied just the weatherOverlay.xml from the SVN blue two wide skin to the foofaraw skin and the weather overlay is appearing on almost every screen. It IS on the basic home screen but NOT on the regular home screen. I personally don't use basic home anyway (and won't until I can add MP-TVSeries) so I really would like it to work in home. I will keep guessing on xml files.

It also (the weather overlay) goes away and will not show up at all if you are running mediaportal in a window. I just verified that blue two wide svn is doing that as well so that is not your skin at all. I did find a scrunched icon that I don't remember seeing as being reported in "My Alarms." If you go to it the blue two icon is used and is very squished. See the attached screenshot.

Also when viewing videos in My Videos or MPTV-Series and I hit the menu/info button the info window isn't nearly wide enough for my tastes. I would like it to go about 3/4 of the way across the screen but when I have tried to manually make these changes (on other skins) the OSD always ends up worse. Can someone just tell me what settings I need to play around with and I will guess and test the settings until I get it the way I like it. I am new to this and am NOT a programmer but I can copy and paste with the best of them. :D

    hi Beesoc,

Thanks for trying out the foofaraw skin.

We are currently busy working on the 4:3 version, as well as updating thoose blue two icons... as I replace the each icon, I correct the aspect ratio and position of the icon... If we have not produced a new alarm icon by the next release I will correct the "squished blue two one"..

If you want to have a go at modding the xml code, a lot of answers can be found here: http://wiki.team-mediaportal.com/SkinArchitecture

If I am unsure of what any xml, I tend to copy the xml file before I mod it, that way I can restore it if it all goes horribly wrong.. It sounds like you need to look for the <width> and <height> commands... and I gues you will need to modify the <X> and <y> positions of anything you adjuct the size of...

    Best Regards

    Hi.
    massimo

    Hi mamachan,

I am unable to reproduce this bug...

    Are you using any SVN's?
Do these problems occur with any other skin?

If no is the case for both these questions you could try and reinstall foofaraw and see if that helps...

    Best Regards

    no, i don't use SVN.
With other skin i don't have this problem.
When i have installed foofaraw skin i followed this procedure:
    - i have launched the foofaraw installer to an other PC (on my HTPC don't start - display "file corrupt")
    - i copied the foofaraw skin folder from the PC to H:\programmi\Team Mediaportal\Mediaportal\skin directory of the HTPC

My primary Hard Disk is mapped by "H".

    Hi massimo,

I am not sure why the installer is not working on your htpc machine, you should just be able to change the install directory to H...

as a work around you can download the skin files here:
    http://www.box.net/shared/zs6txnmje3

you will need to install the wipeout fonts into your windows font directory...

    best regards
