No mid strip

If you are wondering about the mid strip... this is why it was put in... with the background changer meaning the background is not a constant, reflections don't work as well if they are not on a dark background... so the solution was to add something that overlayed on top of the background, and a mid strip seemed like a logical solution. The attached image show the skin with no midstrip vs the skin with a mid strip.. (already working on the larger film strips )

Great news.. its the one big thing i miss!

You guys give me a really hard time choosing.. this skin and xface are both awesome. I like core too, but since nobody seems to be working on it i got one less choice to worry about

One of these days i gotta sit down and figure out how to make more/edit shortcuts in homescreen. Since i dont use TV i think ill put tv-series on that icon instead.

Maybe hot-key it on the remote, so that a specific key goes straight to what's playing.

One comment from me:
Personally I don't like it that the now playing button (under music) is hidden under a submenu..
Maybe it is just me, but I use that one alot.

But with the default background it would look great.
With the loss of so much on the screen, it's back to wide blue for me. I loved this skin.

Yes! great news! Can't wait for bigger music/film covers!

And I like it much better with the middle strip, though I think the cover should only reflect on this strip.

p.s: Have you looked at the bug in the radio section? Where you can't select a station in thumbs view...

Revised Layout

I have been thinking about the revised layout, and I believe that I have come up with a better solution... the mid strip is really only needed for the film strip view ... so I have been playing around with making it only visable when it is needed... Also I have moved the top bar menu up to create more space... please see picture for the result... big list menu's again with a large preview.... I hopr that this will be more pleasing to some people????!!! obviously this mod is going to take a few weeks to put across the whole skin...

I've noticed a bug with the skin.. When viewing music playlists in list mode, the font is really small, much smaller than while viewing them in the shares.. or is it just me? I've attached screenshots to show you what I mean. pic 30 shows the smaller font that is shown while viewing playlists, while pic 52 shows the regular font while viewing folders/shares. On my 1080i crt, the fonts in the first pic are hard to read. It seems like the fonts for playlist are independent of resolution. When I reduce the resolution of MP, the font in the playlist view become 'bigger'.

Noticed a bug - missing graphics perhaps?

When playing a movie consisting of 2 cds a popup (filestacking dialogue) normally asks you which cd to play.
This works fine with BlueTwo wide, but not with Foofaraw 16:9.
Foofaraw never displays :filestacking dialogue: and you're stuck.

THANK YOU!!! I love the theme! It is one of the best things ever to have happened to mediaportal. Spacing and balance and general composition of the theme is brilliant. Thank you for keeping it alive and beautiful.

I agree that the center-bar is really only needed in few situations. Having the top-menu does a great job at framing the contents.

Being able to change text color to black or whatever would be great. Or maybe having it change along with the background in the BG-chooser as the white text is hard to read when the "stonned" background is set. (A new function that I already love )

Bug with TV guide

I love the skin but regretably it has a bug in it that filles the error log verry verry fast (in debug mode). When I'm in error mode MP even craches.:sorry:

I've attached a few log files, maybe you can detect what's wrong.
