Ok Lots of comments...

I will look at the video playlist section... I think currently the code is wrong, so I will bring it in line with bluetwo.

If you want to remove the topbar in the home screens you need to edit myhome.xml you will need to look through for the buttons and delete them all.. ie
<control>
<description>shutdown button</description>
<type>button</type>
<animation effect="fade" time="1500">WindowOpen</animation>
<animation effect="fade" time="500">WindowClose</animation>
<animation effect="zoom" start="000,0" end="100,100" center="1326,39" time="150">focus</animation>
<animation effect="zoom" start="100,100" end="100,100" center="1326,39" time="300">unfocus</animation>
<id>10</id>
<posX>1289</posX>
<posY>10</posY>
<width>51</width>
<height>58</height>
<textureFocus>button_shutdown_focus.png</textureFocus>
<textureNoFocus>button_shutdown_nofocus.png</textureNoFocus>
<label>-</label>
<action>99</action>
<onleft>31</onleft>
<onright>50</onright>
<onup>10</onup>
<ondown>50</ondown>
</control>

by deleting this will remove the shutdown button...

This will be the same for the plugins skreen as well "myhomeplugins.xml"

I think you are absolutely right about the playing now button... use it all the time as well.. so I will move it to a more prominant place... as well as fix some of the bugs and graphics on the playing now screen...

I plan to have a look at list views to fit more content on screen.

Also a bigger filmstrip view... maybe 5 items on a page..

regards

Rich

I didnt actually want to get rid of it, i just wanted to auto hide it on my screen. it auto hides on every screen except the home / verticle screen.
on that screen it just stays at the top at all times.
I checked the xml file and it says it's set to autohide, but it doesnt.

I also checked the topbar plugin in the config and tried the "override skin" setting and it still didnt autohide.

great skin!
thanks:D

I have been thinking about the revised layout, and I believe that I have come up with a better solution... the mid strip is really only needed for the film strip view ... so I have been playing around with making it only visable when it is needed... Also I have moved the top bar menu up to create more space... please see picture for the result... big list menu's again with a large preview.... I hopr that this will be more pleasing to some people????!!! :) obviously this mod is going to take a few weeks to put across the whole skin...

Rich

That's much better! Thanks!!!

    Great Skin!

Is there any mesFilms.xml with the cool view COVER out there?
I have copied the mesFilm.xml from the BlueSkin Wide skin, but there is no cool view COVER :-(

I noticed, that when I change the background to whatever different than standard,
The channell-Icons in the "recorded" section get lost.

Switching back to classic background brings the icons back.

    cheers

Sounds like the Skin cache is not deleted when changing background, follow the instructions here

I can't get "skip-time" to work in TV (TVE2). Works for videos.

EDIT: Would like to add that I really dig this skin - kind of grows on you. (Although the misses seems to find the EPG somewhat hard to read - and we got a 42" (1080P) LCD!).

Thanks everyone for reporting more bugs....

I am away on business till friday...

I have fixed the play CD button ready for version 8...

The radio navigation issue is a problem with mediportal it's self rather then the foofaraw code... it seems like only a right button click can be used to swap between the buttons and the icon view// (not a down button click) I will try and workout a way of making it work when I get back.

I will add mesFilms.xml to my requested feature list and hopefully offer some support to this plugin at some point.

I'm not sure about the topbar on the home pages, seems like mediportal wants you to use a hometopbar, that is permenatly displayed. (this maybe a limitation of mediportal) I will try to find away around this on my return.

I've not been able to repeat
joystick's problem at my end.... although I will check on my main mediaportal machine tonight... The latest release (1.0.7.3) includes the latest version of the background changer that should delete the cache for both windows vista and windows xp automatically...

    Regards

    Rich

#skip time in tve2 works fines here....

interestingly enough my misses also say the guide is a little hard to read... I'll see what I can do to improve that :) also will add the video window somewhere on the guide...
