mhm OK - thats right. But for me (at the moment not using 4TR) it is working better than with not perfect but butter. I've stuttering from time to time with both variants.

Why not make a poll on the For the Record website: "Do you use For the Record with MediaPortal in multi or single seat?"

I'm not saying that you should rebuild the architecture but it could be interesting to know what kind of users you have. I'm guessing that more than 50% are single seat users.
I added such a poll to the home page on www.4therecord.eu and so far the vast majority (74%) of our users are multiseat users. Only 19 votes yet though, but still: a very interesting result.

Btw, is channel switching by pressing a number on the remote supposed to work in the MP plugin?

I probably got myself to blame since I'm using an SVN of MP :)

FWIW, channel switching takes 2-2.5 seconds for me!

This didn't make it in 1.3 but will be added to the 1.3.1 maintenance release which should be out soon-ish.

    Ah ok!

Another question: Is there a decent way to make it so that my HTPC goes _back_ to sleep after finishing recording if the recording was what woke it up? Or will it just be a hassle in those cases when I start using my HTPC after it's been woken up but still is recording etc?

I don't think I understand the question. After a recording has finished recording your HTPC will go back to sleep automatically (after the idle time you configured in the Windows standby settings).

Do you have a problem getting this to work?

Oh. Hah, I don't think I will have. I've never even looked at those settings. The wake up part just worked automagically when I installed FTR 1.3 to my surprise :)

I'll have a look, no doubt it'll just work. Thanks :)

A Bit of Feedback on 1.3

Just spent a week using FTR and found it excellent, when combined with a 14 day epg downloaded by WebEPG.

A issue which does apply to mediaportal as well, if there is no broadcast on a channel BBC3\4 for example it says no data, but if you supplement with dvbepg you can get both lots of information combined in FTR :), so it shows "channel off air", applies to a few other channels as well, so although FTR does not recommend having dvbepg enabled, i did not find any problem, MP itself would just overwrite the files with the dvb info :(, where as FTR fills in the gaps :)

Now the downside, if you use dvb radio there is no support in FTR for this, so you cannot access radio if you have the TVPlugin disabled and using FTR for TV control :(
That was the only thing i could find, besides Doc's don't tell you to put tv logo's in service folder, but that's being pickey ;)

Standby was handled by the OS, had to setup a couple of windows tasks to run WebEpg and move resulting file with a script, also still needed MPStandbyHander to handle resume with my TV card, but all this was pretty straightforward and worked a charm.

So thanks to the FTR team for doing a great job.

    :D

I found out that when watching a show that I want to record, I cannot press "record" in fullscreen mode. In "normal-MP" i get a messagebox asking if i want to record this program or until I manually stop it.
In ForTheRecord I has to exit fullscreen and go either in the guide or "MyTV screen" to record it.
    Will this feature get added?

This will be in the upcoming version 1.3.1.0
