I'll do some performance testing with groups of around 40/50 channels.

When I press the info button after a watching a channel for some time the info displayed is that of the program when the channel was first selected not the current program.

Using the keyboard, what key brings up this information? I tried with the 'Y' key and that seems to show the right information.

In any case, I'm updating the player's program information more accurately now starting with 1.3.2 BETA 2. So if you can give me some more info I'll double-check this is fixed. Otherwise you'll be able to try this once 1.3.2 is done and made publicly available.

Version 1.3.2 of For The Record has been released!

This is a maintenance release but we added some useful new features and enhancements as well: a larger EPG in Web Access, live TV streaming over UNC (for both single-seat and multiseat), custom recording file name paths,... The download and a detailed list of changes can be found on our forum.

I have just installed 1.3.2 and I have problems some problems running it. I am running XP Pro with SP3 and have the AJAX Extensions 1.0 installed.

1) In the TVServer plugin -> Channels tab:
a) Some channels are duplicated even though I dont have them in my channel list in TVServer.
b) Some channels are not linked. If I click the "Edit Channel Link" button, the subsequent dialog does not show channels in the pane "MediaPortal Channel". So I am unable to set a link to a channel.
2) I get the following error when I try to run the web interface
Code:
Server Error in '/ForTheRecord.WebAccess' Application.

And are there no channel groups listed in that dialog? Perhaps an empty group is selected on top?

Also, realize that the channels shown in the Channels tab are the channels that are defined in For The Record (which you can then link to MP). So if you see doubles there, that means you should check the channels through the Management Console and clean them out there. Perhaps you imported channels from two different sources and created doubles that way?

Perhaps seek help on our forum in the Web Access section. This looks like a very low-level error though and it does actually complain about "system.web.extensions" which is an AJAX assembly. I know you said you have AJAX 1.0 installed, but it seems to be related to that anyway.

Thanks for your reply dvdfreak. I am not at the tvserver pc right now. I will check on it and will post back. I will also post the web interface problem on 4TR forum.

I have used FTR for several months, and I'm very happy with it, however there are some problems that keep me from using it in MP 1.0 right now.

- Web Access set-up consistently fails with a program error (in all FTR releases so far), set-up however continues when I close it (but this is not really a big problem);
- DVB-EPG loses sync after a few days, it stops refreshing, even though MP still has a current DVB-EPG (since MP 1.0/FTR 1.3.1);
- Attempts to watch live TV and scheduled recordings still result in failure to allocate the card (since MP1.0/FTR 1.3.1).

I am using MP 1.0.0, FTR 1.3.2 on Windows Vista Ultimate with a single DVB-C card.

There must be a low-level issue with your IIS then. Can you access "http://localhost/IISHelp"? Are you on XP or Vista. If XP, is the IIS version 5.1, the original IIS installed from your XP CD?

- DVB-EPG loses sync after a few days, it stops refreshing, even though MP still has a current DVB-EPG (since MP 1.0/FTR 1.3.1);
This is very interesting and I'd like to be able to reproduce (and obviously) fix this.

- Attempts to watch live TV and scheduled recordings still result in failure to allocate the card (since MP1.0/FTR 1.3.1).
Every time? Only in certain cases? We're gonna need a bit more details to be able to determine what is going wrong for you here. Are your shares set up correctly for your card(s)? Most people having issues like this only have a single card that works fine, and the moment the second card is needed they run into problems....

I notice you are only using one DVB-C card, so it must be something else. But does it work sometimes or never for you? Version 1.3.2 has improved share testing, so do check if your Test Shares works correctly.
