I tried to install it yesterday, using the installation guide.
The only thing I'm missing, is channels tab, is channels, there is none.

Are you using an XMLTV guide, and if so: did it import correctly? Also make sure you import the guide into For The Record and not MP.

And if not, did you turn on DVB-EPG syncing in the TV Server plugin (there's an option there to auto-create channels)?

I use DVB-EPG.
Will look tonight, check if DVB-EPG syncing is on and auto-create channels option is selected.
:D for the quick reply!

Turned on DVB-EPG syncing. Did not do the trick.
Installed SQL-Server Management Studio Express.
The database is there.

Deinstalled fortherecord.
Reinstalled fortherecord, now works great.

Just 1 question left.
I use the microsoft MCE remote.
If i press the "guide"-button or "recorded TV"-button, i go to the "old" guide and recorded TV.
Any solutions for this?

I am using a workaround for the buttons going to the old screens. See this post at 4tr forums.

Sorry - you talked about the remote.
    See this post.

As well as post number 918, 920, 924 of THIS THREAD.

Or you can choose to replace the standard My TV with the For The Record screens (option in the MediaPortal GUI plugin setup), in which case all your remote buttons will automatically go to the right screen as well.

Just created a new subforum inside the TV-Server forum to store all community-plugins :)
Cool! Perhaps it also makes sense to rename this thread to "For The Record rule-based scheduling suite" since TvScheduler is the old name? :)
