hi,

would it be possible to have a checkbox "merge schedules" in your tvscheduler? the meaning would be to merge more schedules to one schedule. sometimes the german premiere (and perhaps other broadcasters) broadcast many episodes of a series as a group at one evening. the problem here is that i only have one cam with one smartcard and use pre and post recording time. i think using tvscheduler to schedule those episodes would cause overlapping and produce error messages in MP. having an option to merge those schedules to ne block would help here.

Yes you mean programs that are in consecutive timeslots, so for example:

Show A from 20:00 until 21:00.

Show B from 21:00 until 22:00.

This will give two upcoming programs, with overlap due to the pre and post-recording times. What I perhaps could do is detect this in my TVE3 plugin and remove the post-recording on show A and the pre-recording on show B before registering them with TVE3...

I have a new issue. I'm using the EPG import and it looks like all the guide data isn't being copied from the TV3 database. When I view the guide in the management console many channels have no guide data. If I check in the MP guide, the channels have data.
I open up the Program table in both databases - TV3 has ~60,000 rows and TvS has ~10,000.
All channels are linked properly.
Any ideas?
I may have to switch back to XMLTV.

TVE3 already handle this event on its own, doesn't it ?

It would be a good thing too, since this is indeed the responsability of the actual recording scheduler more than of TV Scheduler itself.

When you disable, move away from the panel, thenm switch back and re-enable the TVE3 plugin it is restarted.

It should then always do a full sync. If that doesn't help there's something wrong with the channel linking (could be in my code as well of course). If that does work there may be something wrong with copying new program.

If not, I'll try to find some time to test the syncing feature more. I don't use DVB-EPG myself, so I have to do it with fake data...

Hey dvdfreak,

ran into an issue: The service stops and won't restart. See:

This means "Service has been started and stopped again since some services gets stopped on idle."

Eventlog is cleared, so no problems from this point.

I have some error messages in eventviewer: Something like:

I just looked at what you pasted: seems like there's an error accessing the database?

The strange thing is, it's in GetAllUpcomingProgramsUntil(). And that service method is not called during startup. Ah, but it may be called by the TVE3 plugin! Can you try disabling that and then start the service?

Anything else in TvScheduler.log or thourhg DebugView that gives more info? Have you tried restarting the SQL service too?
