xmlTv Plugin in mediaportal version 1.0.2.0 seems to have a problem when forcing an Import or maybe i am missing something?
I have the "delete old programs before import" but everytime i try and force an import to over write an exsiting import. my logs say duplicate entry found and then doesn't import the tvguide.xml.

Thanks

    Hi there :)

It's been a long time since I've used the xmlTV plugin, but last time it did delete the old data (currently using 4therecord).

Please attach full logs, maybe someone can up up the problem.

    Hi rekenaar

i have the xmlTV plugin checking for a new xml file every 1 minute so that is why it might have been complaining about duplicate entries. (i might have already uploaded the file i was tring to force and then it found that there were duplicate entries so it didn't "delete old programs before insert").
i tried to install 4therecord 1.3.3.3 (i think it was) and that caused huge issues with my mediaportal. i see that 1.4 is out. Does 4therecord have it's own xmltv Guide import mechanism? is it as straight forward as xmlTV plugin? (this is fine as it is still sort of on the topic .. right?!?)

I will install it once i have my blasting issue sorted out (which you just happen to be the person helping me out on that as well :) https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...-1-1-4-2-test-build-2627-a-33512/index81.html).

    thanks

I am a very happy 4tr V1.4 user. It uses it's own XMLTV import. No need to do it in TVServer anymore. Just drop the xml file in the required directory and the import kicks in.
