Problem description:

"Forward" and "Rewind" dont work in Music player or work very bad.
My previous MP (ver. 0.2.2.0) had no problems. When I used for example the fast forward in version 0.2.2.0 the MP3 was played at a higher speed ("skipping").

- I removed MP 0.2.2.0 by using the control panel
- I did not remove the whole directory, so the new installed 0.2.3.0 RC1 inherited some settings

Maybe I am using another audio engine now? When I chooce Next or Prev. the player does fade out and fade in the audio tracks (nice!). I did not have these effects before in MP 0.2.2.0.

Addition info (from the MP Setup):

- BASS engine used
- Fade in/out enabled
- Cross fasing 4 sec.
- Buffering 5 sec.

Martijn

To my knowledge it has always worked like described. Indeed it would be nice to have the ability to skip in songs.

Select the "Internal DShow Player" and try skipping. this will play the mp3 in higher speed. seems you had that in 0.2.2.0.

with the BASS engine, which you have now, you step 15 seconds.
press the FF button twice very fast and it'll skip 30 seconds and so on.

    Dear hwahrmann,

You are right: I switched the engine to "Internal DShow Player" and the skip function is working properly.

Now it looks like the Scrobble function is not working... yesterday it worked...

It should be nice if the BASS engine also supported the skip function.

I did a test with the BASS engine again:

    - the buttons in the 'button bar' ("Forward" and "Rewind") work only if you "click on the buttons slowly" (or call it a "long click": press .... release)
    - the Next & Prev buttons have another feeling: a "short click" will do

Maybe this needs some 'fine tuning'?
