I'm currently running mediaportal under xp sp3 without any issue but I'm currently experimenting with vista and windows 7.

The problem I have in both vista and windows 7 is that after a resume from standby or hybernate I have frame drops in live tv (exactly one or two each five seconds).

I've tried everything without beeing able to solve the issue. I suspect is a video card problem or a tuner card driver problem.

I've had this problem for a long time so I try to find someone who has the same problem, and maye has solved it.

    Thanks

I have a similar problem, but with XP SP3 curiously. If i resume, I get the stuttering problem in live TV. Shutting mediaportal and restarting it causes the stuttering to go away. I have mediaportal automatically restart on resume now (one of the options in config).

Restarting mediaportal does not solve the problem unfortunately. If I restart the PC the problem goes away...

Is this a singleseat or multiseat setup, five seconds sounds a bit like the heartbeat check from powerscheduler, what happens if you restart the TVService, is there any difference then.

This is a singleseat setup... I wil try to restart tvservice and let you know...

I've tried to restart the service with no result, the problem is still there. I've also tried to disable powerscheduler client and server plugins after the resume but this strange frame drop every five seconds is still there.

Other ideas? I can post logs if they can be useful...

(this is a crosspost from the madVR thread, as the same issue is discussed there) It seems like the problem is specific to NVIDIA and has two causes: 1. Some time ago (can't remember the exact version, but can probably be found when searching this thread: AMD, Intel and Nvidia driver issues and last recommended version - Doom9's...

Sorry for the late response. In my experience, the EPG grabbing of a single transponder takes 2 to 3 minutes. Afterwards it takes 1 to 2 minutes to write the data to disk. To speed up the EPG stuff (not only writing but also reading the EPG guide in MediaPortal), I changed the program table (and only that table) from InnoDB to...

Hi. Network tuners can be shared even on the same PC (done it often while testing different software, I'm using SAT>IP tuner that are similar to hdhomerun tuner but for European DVB). During the last evenings, I made some further examinations about the HTC and the HVR930C. Of course, the fact that both sticks use nearly the same hardware causes half of the trouble. But not all. I tried to install thee different Empia-Devices: the two sticks mentioned before, and then also the PCTV 520e. All the drivers are...
