[Videos] Freezing on stopping video (1 Viewer)

hey, sorry for taking so long to get back, i'd been having problems going through various versions of MP, and is how I came across your thread initially
i'm using:
1.0.4.23491
ati 4200
VMR9
SAF codec setup

scanning for channels now, gotta get a different tuner, going to record something and test it out

was typing this then realized machine might crash if it reproduces, so just posting this and will come back again after test

i CAN tell you that I skipped the alpha version, and some other svn for a few different reasons, 2 I can recall are:
1) EPG had issues not showing up due to radio channels or something
2) and this was reason enough....REWIND of recorded (and i think live) TV did NOT work, it was very very wierd

Right now, I continue to install a plugin at a time, and have quite a few installed on this current version running streamedmp...
scared to switch to any other version, so will be reporting tests with the current version.

Hopefully it doesn't reproduce and you can use this version of MP, we'll see

is the same problem ??

In case if you can reproduce the hang with the steps mentioned in the Mantis then yes, it is most likely the same issue (and as a note I cannot reproduce the hang so I'm not able to debug it ).

Okay...dang...after having everything working...i hadn't tried recording tv since stuff started working, and had to troubleshoot it...

Unfortunately, I was NOT able to reproduce this error, I'm sorry. I followed the steps exactly as you said, but when I stopped the mini video in windowed mode,
i was still able to navigate fine, in fact MP is still open.

Maybe use the same beta version as I am, yours looks older I think.

Also, PLEASE post your solution if you ever get one, because it helps others! Thanks!
And maybe, contact the creator of that person that filed the bug, their name is in the upper left.

WOW WOW WOW!!! ( 3 hours later?? .this was meant to be a new post here, bumping so youll see it)

So after NOT being able to reproduce the error multiple times, and already knowing that I have NEVER had this problem while watching VIDEOS (i thought maybe it was TV specific).....here's what happened:

Watched a movie, and while credits were rolling, I went to another menu from the home menu
1) This is in fullscreen mode
2) Yes, the movie was rolling in the mini screen
3) Went to some other menu
4) Went back to home screen
5) PRESSED STOP while the credits were rolling in the mini screen
6) ERROR Mediaportal must now close
7) I find it VERY interesting, that even though the error dialog was up, i could still navigate mediaportal, i even
went to play tetris
8) Immediately thought of this thread of course, and figured I'd post ....don't know if related, because occurred with regular video, but interesting how the stop button appears to have played a part...

Was a little skeptical as these things tend to be quite specific. It has fixed it however
