Hello,
hope somebody can help me.
I've the same error like sin.

I use a WinTV Nova S and a WinTV Nova S2 HD, the HD Card is working without problems, but if i start timeshift with the SD card i get a lot of discontinuities an tv is freezing.
There is no Microsoft Security Essentials installed.
No cable problems.

Have your tried to exclude the folders from being scanned with the anti-virus you currently use.

Yes, i don't use a Virus Scanner, so this can't be the Problem!
Any other ideas?

Are you definitely sure both the cables are ok? Have you tried swapping them round?

Do both cards use the same timeshift folder?

Would you mind posting some logs - might help us narrow it down

Yes im really sure that both cables are ok!
Every card use another folder on a second HDD not the same!
My MP is running with my Nova S2 hd really perfect but Not Witze the sd card, really strange!

I am writing from my smartphone so i can send the log Files tomorrow!

Hello together,

i solved this problem.

It looks like my WinTV Nova S Card sends not enough voltage to my Multiswitch that the V and H position can switch,
so i found a registry key which can change this:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\hcw88bda\Parameters\LNBVoltage_Ctrl

I changed it to value: 1 my TV card is running
if i change it back to default (6): i get discontinuities and no tv

This key turns up the voltage of 1 V which my card send to the multiswitch so the switch between 14 and 18 Volt is working.

Hope this help somebody who has the same error.
