I have a trouble from MP ver 1.02 to now ver.RC3. Plugin ver.2.2.+ (last) but problem was with all plugin ver.
When turn on video the volume up/down dont work (means dont level change, OSD dont show). At this time the keyboard +/- control volume ok. For resolve i press pause, press play, and volume up/down on remote begin work ok.
My config - WinXP Pro, remote GoTView USB, MP RC3, plugin 2.2+. Other plugins not installed.

I also have a problem with this plugin. after a short time, some keys dont work anymore. after (re)starting mediaportal everything seems ok, but some time later the keys dont work again.

Those of you with problems, please try the attached version. MouseKeyboardLibrary.dll is no longer needed so please delete it. I've built this in 5 minutes and there could be errors (i hope there won't be any), but hey, it's a test version after all

find a next trouble. In TV mode i make PgUp/PgDn as chanel +/-, but it work as standart MP keys (OSD up/dn). The assign was made in [All Layers.TV is running] section.
buttons [-] [+] i assign for all modes as volume control in section [All Layers.No Conditions]. In TV-mode they dont work, volume OSD invisible, change the master (windows) volume level. At this time keyboard +/- work ok.
Please say for best understanding, who first catch the keys - this plugin or standart MP system ? And if on my remote a half of keys have a standart keyboard codes, must i reassign it in MP [General.Keys and Sounds] or plugin config enough?

I had the same problem as you. To fix it I went to the MP configuration's General --> Keys and Sounds and deleted the bindings that was conflicting with my control.

The problem should probably be fixed in either MP where the plugin should be able to get the button press first and decide whether or not it wants to handle it, or in the plugin itself.

advice Roy word. Dont help but now see what just cross-changed keys. Same time after video start keys return to normal In tv-mode dont return. In that case last version equal to previous.
I am very unhappy, without this plugin my remote granted only Enter, Mute and Exit.

Maybe you should try IR Server Suite (IRSS: has its own MP Forum). It appears to be better maintained, and should theoretically be able to support any remote.

I use GoTView USB. It view like usb keyboard, have hardware signal detection and generate complex combination like Ctrl-Alt-F1, Ctrl-Alt-Shift-F2 etc. So deal not in detection, but in processing. Unfortunately the MP dont understand complex combination, need use plugin.
