I just updated to the newest SVN... I have 2 days left on my EPG, after that is just blank. I get the same error when trying to exit TV-Server Config after setting Schedules Direct to force an update. I'm not using the Backup Settings Plugin. I did do a complete clean install of MP 1 and then this SVN (used the MP beta cleanup utility)

I'm now manually saving everything off then will attempt another clean install. (crosses fingers)

I've found the problem. The file Gentle.config in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal had been re-written into a log file !!! So I copied the Gentle.config from the TV server directory and all was ok...a sample of what appeared in my Gentle.config in error:

I noticed that the dates were different between the MP and TV-Series gentle.config's, one being the 15th and the other the 23rd... seems odd... overprinting (as you suggested) either one with the other made no difference.

So I'm off to try that secondr fresh install.

Okay, I did a complete uninstall with clean-up.

I installed 1.0 w/TV-Server and added in my Schedules Direct plugin. I was able to go into TV-Server config and make changes to the plugin with no issues, although I didn't rescan my tuners til after I updated the SVN.

I installed the latest SVN (2-15) and went back into TV-Server config. I could make any change to config and exit without issue, except when I made a change to the Schedules Direct plugin. Then I would get the gentle.config error and then config would have to quit. I couldn't even go to another part of config after making a change in the plugin.

Schedules direct did actually download the EPG for 5 day display, but I couldn't change it up to 7 day, or even force an update without the gentle.config error.

I will have to wait til tomorrow to see if it does a subsequent download of the EPG (set for every 24 hours).

Well... 24 hrs later and and the EPG did not update...

I changed plug-ins and set things up to use XmlTv with mc2xml to download my SchedulesDirect EPG.

Success, of sorts...

I get that same error but I can't find BackupSetting.dll.where did you find it?
