The scrappers im using are Imdb 2.1.4, ember media manager 1.0.2, my movies.xml 0.9.1, xbmc 1.0.4

Then on that same final picture, click on the gear icon and enable scraper debug mode. Then switch to the Movie Manager tab, locate the 'Die Hard 4' movie and sent it back to the importer. Wait for it to re-import, verify that rating is indeed the wrong PG and close config.

Then attach the movingpictutes.log file in here, so we can see exactly why it fails.

Set it to debug mode but where would the log file be? tried looking in the mediaportal directory to no avail

It is in your MediaPortal data folder.

Start Menu -> All Programs -> Team MediaPortal -> MediaPortal > User Files

This will open Windows Explorer inside the data/user folder location. Then navigate to the 'log' folder and there you will find all that is needed, in this case the movingpictures.log file.

Alright here we go! Really appreciate all the help gents!

    -Kevin

Ok, you found a bug in imdb.com scraper :)

The regular expression code for certifications is indeed broken. I see now that I switched to a different method for my IMDb+ scraper a while back and was getting the same results, but now it looks like imdb.com made HTML changes that breaks the default scraper, as you noticed. For some stoopid reason they changed PG-13 into PG_13 for that section of the HTML code, so not even sure what they were thinking there.

I'll port the expression I use for the IMDb+ scraper over for the imdb.com scraper, but I want to run plenty of tests to make sure nothing else has changed as well, so will do that tomorrow (done for the day).

If you are impatient, you could grab the IMDb+ scraper and use that one, but read the instructions well then, as it would be in your interest to take one additional step before you install it by editing the scraper ID, so that it ends up replaceing the existing imdb.com scraper (this is explained in the forum thread). Otherwise it installs as a seperate scraper script and then it only works on newly imported movies, unless you do not mind re-importing your existing collection.

Yep, the current official IMDb script does seem to have a problem with ratings in some cases. I have updated the IMDb scraper and the new version should retrieve ratings correctly for you. To update:

    1. Download the new script from here: imdb.xml
    2. Open the MediaPortal config then the Moving Pictures Config.
    3. Switch to the Importer Settings tab.
    4. Near the bottom, click the "Manually manage movie data sources" radio button.
    5. Click the Movie Details Data Sources button.
    6. Click the down arrow next to the + icon on the toolbar of the popup, then click "Add a New Data Source".
    7. Find the file you downloaded in step 1, select it, and click Open.
    8. Click OK and (optionally) switch back to automatic retrieval in English.
    9. Go to the movie Manager tab highlight the movies you want to rescan (Die Hard 4) and click the "Refresh Movie Info" toolbar button.
After following these steps, your movie ratings should be up to date. Please let me know if any steps are unclear or if you are still having problems. As a general public notice, I will get this script change included in the next release that I will push out in (hopefully) another week or so.

Is there a possibly way to force all the PG rated movies into the scrapper or should I just reimport the entire collection. Just dont want to have to change all the posters again lol

Thanks fforde, always nice to wake up and see somebody else did the hard work for you :)

Pokekevin, open MovPic config, switch to the 'Movie Manager' tab, select first movie, then hold down SHIFT and hit the END button, this will highlight all the movies. Then click the green refresh/recycle icon and sit back and enjoy the show.

Sorry for bringing this thread back from the dead but the problem has arised again. Still getting incorrect ratings from imdb. Using the 2.2.0 imdb scraper along with the latest version of moving pictures. Is anyone else getting this problem?
