Getting my remote to work (1 Viewer)

Along similar lines, the remote that came with my TV tuner does provide limited ability to drive media portal. The remote appears to essentially send key combinations - not 100% sure on all features - I am writing a little vb app that will tell me which of the remote buttons are sending key combinations.
Is there a feature within Media Portal whereby I can press a button on my remote and then be given a choice of MediaPortal functions to map my button to?

Further on this, the remote is sending key combinations, e.g Ctl+U for channel up, CTL+D for channel down.
I've tried the keyboard plugin suggested, but am not sure how (or whether) one get the program to respond to these keys.

To everybody who has a XPC-RC01 remote bundled to Asus FM7134, i have made a script using autohotkey that makes the followin functions availibe: Play/Pause,skip forward/backward and FFw/REW, i have put the "home" function on the key with marked with the house-symbol and "change aspect om "rec" .If you want to have this script mail me at micke.brodn@telia.com i´d be glad to share it!
