Not sure if this should be under Installation or the plugin section...

I can't get guide information to show up in the TV Guide using the SchedulesDirect plugin. I'm not getting any error information, but the guide grid is totally empty, displaying only No Data.

I've restarted the TV Service, no joy. Do I need to do something to force the guide to update the first time?

Also, what are others using for guide information? SchedulesDirect seemed like the easiest solution -- if you're willing to pay the fee -- but not if it doesn't work ;)

Did you configure SD with your account info?
On the SD web site, did you choose your location and provider?
I use it all the time with no issues.

I see where you did a channel scan (maybe more than one) but there appears to be an issue with channel names possibly not matching the names found from SD....
I am going to ask the other guys to take a look... Some of this I have never seen.

Thanks, breese. I didn't do any editing of the scan results, which may be the root of the problem.

BTW, the vast majority of my scanned channels show as "Unknown [channel code]". Yet when I view the details for a channel, usually the call sign is correct (and the cable company channel number is also correct). Is there a way to have the scan process capture more of the information into the channel name (i.e., the label currently showing up as Unknown... on my system)?

FYI, I'm using an HDHomeRun Prime (just released driver) for my TV capture device.

    Try something for me...
Open the SD Plugin and go to the second tab.
There you will find an option to force update on next start
    SD_01.jpg

Then go to Manual control and at the bottom is Stop Process. After it stops, Start it
    SD_02.jpg

After reading thru your logs, I see nothing indicating that it is actually pulling in anything.
Here is a sample of mine

    breese,

I ran the diagnostic as you requested. FWIW, the option to force a guide reload was already checked when I went to the SD plugin configuration change (I had set it when I first configured the plugin, assuming it would reset itself after MP ran...which apparently doesn't happen). Not sure if that's important.

I've attached two sets of logs. The first was when I used the Windows Services applet to stop/start TVService. The second is when I used the Manual control interface. Probably there's no difference, but I missed the request to use the Manual control when I first ran your diagnostic.

    Hello again ChairmanMao :)

You're aware of the recommendation to increase the SDT/VCT timeout when scanning with a CableCARD tuner, right?
    http://wiki.team-mediaportal.com/1_...2_TV_Servers/7b_Scan_ATSC#Tuner_Configuration

If you originally scanned with the default (20 seconds) then I would delete all the channels and start over.
Make sure SDT/VCT timeout is set to at least 60 seconds. It probably doesn't hurt to set it higher - for example 120. It is an upper limit.
Scan, then if most of your channels still don't have names, post fresh log files once the scan completes.

I note: channel names and numbers aren't updated in subsequent scans. That's why I'm recommending to delete the channels and start over.
