Anyhow, glad to hear you have it sorted now.

Did I say that? :)

Followed setup guide (as above).....but as yet, have failed to view any TV channels from the TBS card.:(
(although have been able to view Video files)

Hhhhmmmnnnn?????

    You said you had sorted the SQL connection thing:
    Managed to progress past the SQL problem encountered earlier.
    That was all I meant. I know you've now hit another roadblock. :)

    I think from here if you want further help you need to post log files.
    1. Open TV Server configuration.
    2. Click open log directory in the top left corner.
    3. Zip up all the files you find there and attach the zip file here.

    Please also confirm what satellite you're trying to receive from and whether you have a DiSEqC switch.

    "No TV tuner available" when trying to view TV in MP!
    Do the logs I supplied earlier, indicate anything I need to know?

    First, apologies for the delayed response.
    Here is what I see:

    Meaning: the TV service is blocked from using your tuner.
    Cause: a bug with the EPG grabber.
    Solution: kill then restart the TV service.

    @gibman Same error as that other thread. These logs clearly show the EPG grabbing stop attempt gets a successful tune reservation, then immediately after we have the problem. So my hunch seems to be correct.

    I tagged him just to let him know about this thread. We saw a similar report within the last few weeks and were not able to confirm the cause, but your log files clearly show the cause.

    Solution: kill then restart the TV service.
    .....how is this done??
    Open the Windows task manager (ctrl + alt + del, click start task manager).
    Go to the processes tab.
    Click show processes for all users.
    Select TvService.exe.
    Click end process.
    Close task manager.
    Open TV Server configuration (click yes).

    TvService.exe not listed in processes for all users.

    In 'services' tab...TVService is listed as 'stopped'

    If the TV service is not running then start the service and attempt to reproduce the problem again.
    Essentially what I'm saying to you is that if you decide to leave the idle EPG grabber enabled and this problem happens again, the solution is to restart the TV service.
