I'm on shaky ground here!
Thought permissions were an irritating aspect of Ubuntu....which I stopped using a year ago.

Sorted out permissions....can now open MP as Administrator....yippeee!!
Naturally....
...the remote supplied with my TBS card is not standard...and my next task is to get this working in MP!
...so any tips would be most welcome.

Tuner remotes are mostly not supported (I think Hauppauge and Digital Everywhere may be the only exceptions...) due to the fact that the tuner is not necessarily in the same PC as the one that MP is running on.Naturally....
...so any tips would be most welcome.
I'd try and see if you can get it working with EventGhost. I love that app!
