Giving kids access to some unrated series (1 Viewer)

Hi, updated to latest version of 2.6.9.1369 (mp 1.1.2)

Using the Configuration manager I added TV-Y to the "Content Rating" field for all the series that i wanted to be for the kids e.g

Pingu
The Life Of Mammals
Mr Bean

Then i added the view of "Kids Series" from the "Views/Filters" tab which says it will not filter out shows with a rating of TV-Y, TV-G or TV-Y7, i left this view with no pin.


The manually edited "Content Rating" field is retaining its TV-Y rating when viewed within Mp-TV Series Configuration and its text colour is blue.

However the shows are still not availaible when entering the "Kids Series" view within Mediaportal. None of my manually edited series are available, i can view them only if i switch to the "All" view, or some other non "Kids Series" view.

Anyone know what i'm doing wrong, or another way to move a series to the "Kids Series" view?

I love the feature in MovingPictures that lets you make little rules for your views like, if path contains etc

The view filtering that you seek for usage in GUI only works if you manually edit the SQLite database. It is planned to make this more accessible in the future, but it is a more tech DIY method for the time being.

You can search the forum to find the threads where step by step explanations and examples have been provided to achieve this.

An easier way perhaps might be to just manually add the kid series to the view you want to have available for them without a PIN.

The 'Kids Series' should pick up your manually edited ContentRating field. Its probably a bug that we dont check user edited fields as well in the views system.
