When tuning to HD channels i often experience that the screen goes green, with heavy pixelations, and a high frequent stuttering sound/noise, sometimes i get no picture at all, sometimes it tells me 'channel is scrambled' and sometimes MP just freezes.
Sometimes it works perfect for a couple of channel changes, and then back to square one with problems after problems.

I've tried to use ffdshow, ffdshow DXVA, microsoft codecs and CoreAVC without any luck. Kinda frustrating.

    Hi there,

I'm probably way off...but if it intermittently reports encrypted channel, then that issue wont be codec related (its before that).

Have to check drivers/firmware/etc for your CAM?

    J.

    ps - I'm probably way off :D

Well, MP ran perfectly without any problems for about 1 year, did a fresh install of windows an mp last summer and haven't been able to use MP for tv ever since.

I can confirm your issue, sort of. Freezes or 'scrambled channel' are both extremely rare, but the green screen does occasionally happen.

Yup, it is annoying, and no, changing codec doesn't help (in addition to those above powerdvd shows the same behaviour).

    AW: Green pixelations, random freezes

Does it also happen when you don't use any hardware accleration? (DXVA)

It happens both with and without DXVA, tuning between SD channels normally works but errors occur, tuning to HD is doomed 90% of the times i try.

Here it happens in less than 10%, but when it does happen it usually is, as Thenone says, when zapping to a HD channel. To be even more specific, it's usually the 1080i channels which show this behaviour. The 720p ones normally don't. I can also add that I had this problem on both my old 8600GT and my current 6570.

For me it happens 99-95% of the times i try, rendering mediaportal useless for HDTV for me, strange thing is that it worked perfect until i did a clean install, same hardware, same settings.

    Anyone?
This problem makes MePo useless for tv for me.
