GUI Sounds via SPDIF Connection (1 Viewer)

Does anyone know if it is possible to get GUI sounds via the SPDIF connection? When I was testing MediaPortal on another computer before building my HTPC the GUI sounds worked great. Once building and connecting my HTPC to my receiver via a COAX or Optical the GUI sounds do not work. Is there something I am missing? Is this a known problem?

Hi Stilger,

As far as I know the GUI sounds won't be any different than any other audion coming from MP, i.e. video, music, TV, etc.

Do you get audio through SPDIF when watching TV?

if i am not completely wrong then you have to check an option in your soundcard drivers that stereo signals are also send throught the spdif.

some only send digital signals over it by default.
