Hauppage Nova-S-Plus PCI (1 Viewer)

I am thinking about purchasing one of these. Will it work straight out of the box with MediaPortal (including IR and remote)?

I have read through the posts and most that are relevant to this card are older or covering a different subject (not specifically how well this card works with MP).

I have one of these, I just installed the drivers off the cd and Mediaportal could see it. Been using it for about a year with no problems.

Hi,

I can confirm that its working, but some people (including me) had some problems with it, which at least for most of them were fixed. See here Hauppauge High band and Vertical/Horizontal switching problems

If u are using more than one LNB through the aid of a diseqc switch...then u will probably see this problem.
