To all people who got problems with the plugin:

I must admit, I have absolutely no idea why it's not working for you. It's just a little bunch of people who got that problem. For some it was resolved by installing SP2 (cause they had SP1 only), for others a reinstall of the driver components did the job, others had to clean the registry completely from any Hauppauge stuff. And some desperate guys also would have to reinstall their windows, as a last chance (please, please tell me if that solves the problem!). I'm pretty sure it's not a bug of the plugin, I did some deep debugging with some people, but the driver does not send the required information in these cases. I'm sorry, if you are part of this (less than 5%) group of people, I can't help you. I'd really love to, but as the your driver does not speak to me, I can't send the information to Media Portal.

"niai" posted something interesting, that a LED on his USB box is always on, if the remote does not work. This indicates to me, that there's some problem between the driver and the hardware. As I don't influence the driver in any way, there's nothing I can do about it. Please keep on posting essential information and send me a mail in addition, so I can keep track on who's got a problem and who does not. This is a needful information for me in this beta phase, of course.

The same problem here, nothing works in mediaportal with the new script but with the old and outside mediaportal everything works.

I'm running windows xp sp2.

Can it be related to what hardware/drivers thats installed for the card?

I'm using Driver-hcw2_2_22292pp2 and ir32_245_22350.exe to my pvr-150 card(45 button remote).

I don't know, as I don't use that card. Hopefully other users can jump in? (...using a Nova-T 90002 here...)

Hi Sunday,

My setup is exactly the same as yours and I got the same miserable result ...
Time to change driver I guess.

I'm using XP Pro SP2 French, I tried the following drivers without success:
- hcw2_2_22292pp2.exe
- hcw2_2_22301_pp2.zip
- official drivers from Hauppauge Site (2.0.18.22280 with update pvr150_22_22292.exe, ir32_245_22350.exe, PVRII_dec_4.0.22236.exe, wintv2k_46_22278.exe, hcwsmd04.exe).

I have a FX5200 with NVidia drivers 71.84.

I have XP MCE version (with SP2).
Latest Hauppauge drivers for PVR 150, with a 45 button remote.
And I also have a Creative FX5200 PCI with NVidia drivers 71.84, running on a Asus Pundit-S (barebone).
I have also found that I can not make it work with the .ini modifications mentioned at the begining of this thread (of course, disabling the plugin in that case).

Has anyone a PVR 150 working with the plugin?

In that case, you could post your config and we can try to find out something relevant for our problem.
