Hauppauge 1600 and STB (1 Viewer)

I have installed all items as per the videos. TV3, SQL2005, MP. Just want to test Svideo for now. ATSC stinks here as does Analog. So will go with Satellite STB until end of 2008 when HiDef antenna is built.
Went to TV Servers->media_pc->Analog Hauppauge... and clicked on Add SVHS/VHS channels
Got 9 channels CVBS#1-3, SVHS#1-3 and RGB#1-3
Select any of them and click on preview and get error: Preview failed: NoVideoAudioDetected.

well I got a bit further and figured out it was SVHS#1. CVBS#1 worked as well but gave me only a black and white picture. Preview still doesn't work, but MP tunes it. However I dont get an "external" tab or option when I start the server config and try to edit the channel.
