Hi, Im trying to install the hauppauge 878 card. When I try to scan for channel in the tv-server configurator no channels are found.
When I try to turn on the Pc in mediaportal I get "Cannot start timeshifting - unknown error"

I have also followed the wiki trying to load the driver with "regsvr32 mcee...ax" but it doesn't work..

Note that windows mce does not detect the card too, but I can see the tv with a software included in the driver cd (winTV2000)

Supported TVCards/Analog Software Encoding/HauppaugeWinTV878based - MediaPortal Wiki Documentation

Do not think this will work with TVServer, possibly with the internal TV engine built into MP it will work.

On install do not select HDTV or TVServer and you should have access to MP's own TV config (MPConfig\Television).

As this is software based encoding, a 2.8Ghz processor recommended.

yeah, now it works...
but:

- in view, mode, the audio and video are not syncronized.
-in record mode, the audio is not recorded

also, when mediaportal starts the TV audio starts automatically..

I don't thnk my card supports built in audio (it has an aux driver only) I connected the line out of the card to the line in of the sound card.. I think the problem is related to this...

Remove the cable and force the card to use the pci bus for audio, should work.
