    Bother!

You know what the problem was - it is an uncommitted fix for a WinTV CI issue that I've been working on. That'll teach me to pass out messy binaries. I really do apologise. Zip archive updated - you'll need to update the SetupTv.exe...

    :sorry::sorry::sorry:

No worries, its all good. That version works great :)

Once this is proven out by others (I would like for someone with an HD-PVR to post back), can we do a full build we can attach to the first post or will we have to wait for MP 1.2 RC?

Thanks again mm! Without your help we never would have pushed the HD-PVR & Colossus to full potential!

Yeah, I'd be interested to hear from an HD-PVR user too. Let's hope things work as beautifully for the HD-PVR as for the Colossus. :)

Regarding the installer vs. patch question: I don't think the rest of the team would be happy with us putting a full installer out there. It is a support thing. If everyone had different "official" versions then we'd have massive problems trying to track down bugs like the one I just created for you before. 1.2.0rc shouldn't be too far away and applying the fix isn't particularly difficult for those who want or need it. I will add fuller instructions to my post...

That's cool. I'm getting ready to leave now, but I will update the first post tonight and put in a pointer to your post with the patches.

    Here we go!

Here's what I did (this time, I am accessing the TV server from a different machine):

    - Starting MP, Accessing TV, Accessing EPG
    - Tuning to channel 'Sixx' (Audio according to ShowBizz capture: AAC 2 channels) --> OK but takes about 10 seconds
    - Tuning to channel 'Discovery HD' (Audio: Dolby Digital (AC3) 5.1-channels) --> Setup box changes channel then freeze. Pressing the stop button shows the "Do you want to delete TS buffer?" dialogue.
    - Pressing OK (twice by mistake because nothing happens when pressing the first time): MP goes back to EPG and starts DMAX.
    - Leaving DMAX and going back to EPG.
    - Tuning to channel 'Discovery HD' again. Picture and sound appears for about 1 second, then a blue picture appears w/o sound (NOT a BSOD!).
    - Trying to leave Discovery w/o success. Trying to get back to home and other stuff. Finally I am back on the homescreen.
    - Accessing the EPG again.
    - Tuning to channel 'History HD'. A black screen appears.
    - Stopping timeshift. EPG appears.
    - Tuning to channel 'History HD' again. Picture and sound appears for a second. Then again the blue picture. After a few seconds, sound appears, after some additional secondes, picture and sounds are there.
    - Pausing TV to write notes ;-)
    - Going back to EPG.
    - Tuning to channel 'Discovery HD' - after a scratching noise, picture and sound are ok (!)
    - Going back to home and closing MP

Hope this is not too much information. Otherwise, please tell me and will provide other logs.

Thanks a lot for your hard work and your time.

    Hi everyone

I had a chat to some of the other team members today. They tell me that MediaPortal should already support "hostile" changes as long as post-processing filters are not used. That means no need for the delay, and it would be completely on Hauppauge to fix any driver issues with spurious PMT. A full set of fixes without any PMT delay and an additional PMT fix for registering on-the-fly changes properly is attached. All being well, this should be *the* fix that makes *everything* work *perfectly*. :D

[Edit: don't forget to put TvLibrary.Interfaces.dll in the MediaPortal client folder as well as the TV Server folder.]

    Wow! Wow! Wow!!!!!!!!

    Wow!!!!

    (Yes, it works :) )

Well I'm going to try and put this one in tomorrow. I guess I'll need to put the real 1.2 beta in first
Thanks for all the hard work. I will let you guys know once I test it.

Update: I tested it a bit today and I still get stutter when a show is DD :(
I followed instructions, using FFDShow DXVA and FFDShow audio with passthrough.
Not sure if I'm the only one with no success with this patch or not. Hopefully a different codec might help.

    @mm

I have a problem on my MP client only when i use your "All_Colossus_HDPVR_Patch.zip". But on my single seat installation everything is working great. When I apply the patch on the single seat PC, on my client PC I can no longer change channel of my STB resulting freeze image. But everything is fine on the singleseat. As soon as I removed your patch and put originals files, everything works on both side (client & single seat).

Which logs do you need ? singleseat or client ?

    thanks !

    Hey Kilik360,
Did you copy the TvLibrary.Interfaces.dll over to the client?

    From mm's instructions:

    4. Copy the TvLibrary.Interfaces.dll from the zip file into your MediaPortal client install folder.

Additional information: After reading WileECoyote's post I realised that I missed step 4 in your instructions (Copy the TvLibrary.Interfaces.dll from the zip file into your MediaPortal client install folder).

I now replaced the old dll with the new one which resulted in a pixelation and stuttering of non-HD channels - in addition to the issues mentioned above. I hope I don't frustrate you too much with my investigation

    Hi,

I'm trying to get my newly installed Hauppauge Colossus working with MediaPortal 1.2 Beta. I just purchased & installed the Hauppauge Colossus (my first TV Tuner Card) in my newly built Sandy Bridge HTPC. I have Comcast Cable and after installing the Drivers CD including WinTV 7, I'm able to get my Cable on my PC and I'm able to record shows & all using WinTV.

I've tried to go through the 30+ pages in this thread and I've followed the instructions that were given in one particular post about downloading & installing the 3 DLL's & 1 EXE file in the appropriate location. I still can't get my cable TV to show up in MediaPortal. I'm not sure if I have everything setup correctly.

This is my first TV Servers screen where I do see that my Hauppauge Colossus card shows up. I disabled the other 2.

    MP1.JPG

On this screen I hit the "ADD S-Video Channels" button because I'm using COMPONENT input. I get "Channels Added".

    MP2.JPG

Finally, on this screen I see these 7 channels added

    MP3.JPG

After this I have no clue what to do. I got completely lost as to what I'm supposed to do next.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks!!
