Hi again luci5r
It sounds like you have understood correctly so I really have no response except to say:
1. I'll be here if you need me. I don't mind questions...
2. Good luck!!!
Awesome!I have followed the post between you and luci5r and think I got basic's and EPG/Channels setup.
@<everyone>: can you please offer advice about setting up the IR blaster - I'm really out of my depth with it.I cant figure out the IR Blaster deal tho have the plugin install.
Okay, video is a good start. So you're using component (3 x RCA) for video and L/R (2 x RCA) for audio? The audio input that you will need to select will be different to luci5r. From earlier logs I'm guessing it will be one of the "line" inputs. Also Ive tested the front end using my set top box and get video but no audio, component cable.
The mini-guide (ie. the thing that appears when you click on the "channel" button) or the full blown guide? Also if you pop up the guide or something a few times the program will become unresponsive. You can still see the video play but can't back out of the menu's and have to end task.

Hi again shamus252
I'm thinking that issue might be caused by issues with your Black Glass skin. Is the issue reproducible if you use debug mode (the shortcut in your MP start menu folder, then select the first option, then "proceed")? Debug mode disables all plugins and falls back to the default skin...

Not sure how others are going regarding the Colossus and blasting but I found that I could not get it to work using IRSS testbuild 1.4.2.4189 for 1.2.0 beta (have used IRSS before with a Hauppuage MCE remote/blaster config to control a STB in the past). Instead I had to choose the inbuilt server blaster, then hauppauge as the blaster type option. You have to run the blastcfg software that comes as part of the Colossus install to learn the remote codes external to MP - tested them in Wintv7, then the channels are changed to the equivalents programmed internally to MP.
Just my recent experience after several hours of frustration
