    Thanks for the offer. I recall that you reported this issue quite some time ago and we never resolved it. What would actually be really good is if you could install Arcsoft Showbiz (which I thought comes with the Colossus) and then test if the quality controls there have the desired effect. That would confirm that the MP TV Server settings have no effect. Then I can look at logs again...

    I did a quick test wtih Showbiz. I recorded a 1 min video of HD content at 10 Mbps. It had resulted in a fle of 70.3MB. While a SD content at 10 Mbps has resulted in 47.6 MB. Where when I did a similar test within MP the results were other way around.

    I can repeat the tests. Please let me know what and when I should be collecting the logs?

    The tests I would like you to perform are:
    - custom 30%, 50% peak
    - custom 100%, 100% peak

    Please schedule two three minute recordings. Make sure to set the "recording" quality settings. One recording with each setting. Restart TV Server after changing the settings. Please do not timeshift at all while performing the tests as it may interfere with the results. All I would need to analyse the results is the tv.log file and the two recordings. You can locate the log file by opening TV Server configuration and then clicking "open log directory" in the top left corner.

    No, nothing from Showbiz... although having said that... a screenshot of the configuration settings would be interesting.
    From MP, the TS files and the tv.log files would be good.

    In this zip file you will find the Arcsoft settings and TV.log.

    I've examined the logs and the setting of the quality control parameters appears to be working... but the recording bitrates don't seem to be affected. I've emailed my contact at Hauppauge to ask for assistance, as I don't see any obvious reason why this would happen. I will let you know as soon as I have any news.
