I've been using this card and an ATI HDTV-Wonder for months without issue. I noticed a week ago that the 1600 was not longer able to record. It'd log the show in the database and open a 6kB file on the HDD but nothing else. I read the MP logs and saw where it was not getting signal-lock. I reconfigured the tuners to write to each other's drives, the condition followed the 1600. So, I uninstalled them from MP, reinstalled 1600 -- still, no input signal when you turn on MyTV. I knew the card was working as I can access it via WatchHDTV, a simple program I came across several years ago. This told me it was a MP issue with the tuner or something related; but most likely NOT a simple installation/driver issue with MP as it'd been working just fine!
Here's the FIX: I'd read someplace about having to remove the card, physically. I powered down, removed it, powered up, rebooted and had MP w/o any tuners. Then I powered down, and waited 30 minutes. Reinstalled the 1600, powered up, rebooted, reinstalled the 1600 & its recording folder, the HDTV-Wonder & its recording folder, reassigned their channels from the TV-Channels tab and all was well again!
I'm sharing this experience for those who may be having persistent problems. I can't explain why this worked but I'm glad I remembered reading it and finding it really works!
