For some reason, it works fine when Timeshifting is off. When I activate Timeshifting switching channels becomes a bit slower, and the picture and sound go out of sync again.

I think this is a MediaPortal issue, I have tried thousands of codecs and Hauppauge drivers

I just the 150MCE drivers, latest ones from the shspvr forums.

When I use the latest Hauppauge drivers (MCE or non MCE) the audio is horrible. They have activated some kind of clipping in the last few versions. When I go back to an older driver, the audio is normal again.

(same situation here: PVR150 card connected via S-VHS to my Sat reciever, the audio is connected by 2 x RCA connetors from the sat receiver)

Have you tried setting the volume of the tuner a little bit lower? There is an option at the bottom of the tuner configuration in MP set up.
