Yes, updated it this afternoon.
It's a really strange problem, also got problems with the latest drivers from Hauppauge, when using the latest I don't get any picture whatsoever.
If I roll back I get picture again.

I start to belive that this card really is a POS.

Unfortunately that didn't help either.
Did everything as stated in the "guide" (in the correct order)
The result is this.

2006-02-15 21:58:51 HCWHelper: OnClosing

I also stopped the IR program but to no effect.
The remote doesn't work at all in MediaPortal.
Before I could move around for a short while and then the IR "portion" hung.

Also when closing MP, HCWHelper crash.

Event. (I could get the rest of the event if needed)
I reordered it abit since it was just one long line when copied from the event window.

EventType clr20r3,
P1 hcwhelper.exe,
P2 1.0.0.0,
P3 43f18300,
P4 hcwhelper,
P5 1.0.0.0,
P6 43f18300,
P7 2,
P8 2a,
P9 system.nullreferenceexception,
P10 NIL.

Did a complete reinstall since the hauppauge card was acting quite weird, in MP it only showed black & white
In dscaler it was in color.

Anyway, did a complete reinstall, used the drivers from the 23b package.
Installed MP and the latest CVS.
Only checked the extended logging checkbox in the remote tab.
Installed dscaler5007 for the mpeg decoder (to avoid using nvidia's this time).

The remote still doesn't work at all in MP, same result as my previous post.
HCWHelper still crash when closing MP down.
Remote working fine when using ZoomPlayer.

Edit: The configurator says that the remote driver isn't the newest.
Tried the one in the 23b package and the one on their site.
No change but didn't see that in yesterday's CVS.

Edit2: Got the driver from another post in this forum, seem to be up to date now. Still not working though.

One really strange thing I noticed when running MP in a window instead of FullScreen is that if the IR program is running and I start MP.
MP close the app down as it should but then it pops right back up.
Have tried the "keep control" checkbox but that didn't help.
Still doesn't work if the IR app is closed before launching MP.
Just a strange behaviour.

Anyone that got a guide for using irremote.ini instead of the built in feature ?
Saw a list of entries for media portal but it didn't work.
Have meedio setup with irremote.ini, it's working without problems.
Didn't get their plugin to work either.
The IR program though works without problems, so I'm using that to control meedio.
Almost sounds like a dependancy that is not running/working.

Meedio uses exactly the same method (code?) we use. We've been first, btw... 8)
Ok, that's not good for you, but good to know for me that it doesn't work there either. I'm afraid there's not much I can do for you then...

Regarding irremote.ini: Make sure the application name is not "Media Portal", but "MediaPortal". That has changed some time ago, so I guess the irremote.ini you tried is just and old version. Changing the application name should work then.

Btw, did you try Girder? It uses also a similar code base we're using. In that case that Girder plugin was first...
But anyway, worth a try, as you can do a bit more there than in irremote.ini...

Good luck!
