    If you want to tag people in your post type the @ symbol then start typing their user name :)[DOUBLEPOST=1365169772][/DOUBLEPOST]Your video card is NVIDIA GeForce 210, do you only get the problem when viewing the 1080i TV Channel? I'm not very familiar with nvidia cards, but I think that the 210 would be too under-powered to cope with 1080i, and if you are using software decoding of 1080i with an E7500, then I bet that might struggle a little too.

    @kiwijunglist :)
    What Graphic adapter do you have experience with ???
    If the E7500 is not fast/powerfull enough, what CPU can you recommend ???
    Is the solution to use Microsoft codecs instead or ???

    The screenshot you provided shows you viewing a 1280x720 channel, in the screenshot your decoding performance (Be it GPU or CPU) is fine because you have no dropped frames.

    do you only get the problem when viewing the 1080i TV Channel?

    Do you have 1080i TV channels? You didn't answer my question as to whether you were having problems with 1920x1080i TV channels.

    What Graphic adapter do you have experience with ???

    Video card recommendations are listed in the wiki
    http://wiki.team-mediaportal.com/4_HTPC/HTPC_Hardware/Video_Cards_(GPUs)
    For a low cost card I recommend HD6450
    For a more expensive HTPC card I recommend HD7750

    If the E7500 is not fast/powerfull enough, what CPU can you recommend ???

    I don't recommend any CPU for software decoding, as hardware decoding is better.

    If you wanted a CPU with onboard graphics (hardware decoding using onboard GPU, negating the need for a discrete graphics card) then I recommend Intel I3-3225 (Intel Graphics HD4000) or AMD A6-5400K (HD 7540D), AMD A8-5500 (HD 7560D) AMD A8-5600K (HD 7650D) This is also listed in the wiki

    If your problem relates to 1080i then both your GPU (hardware decoding) and CPU (software decoding) are both probably too slow, making decoder choice irrelevant. However if you wanted to stick with your current hardware, then your best 1080i performance would come from using coreavc h264 codec in software mode, as this is the least CPU taxing software decoder.

    thanks for quick and usefull feedback.

    It looks like I have the most trouble with 1080 (see picture) much more drops at that resolution.
    Is there anything I can do about this ( if I want to stuck with my hardware) ??
    or do I have to BY a new i.e. i3 CPU ????

    If your problem relates to 1080i decoding due to underpowered hardware, then you have 6 options;

    1. Sell Mobo/CPU/RAM/Video Card + Buy Intel i3-3225 CPU + 4/8GB DDR3 RAM + Mobo

    2. Sell Mobo/CPU/RAM/Video Card + Buy AMD A6-5400K CPU + 4/8GB DDR3 RAM + Mobo

    3. Sell Old Video Card + Buy HD6450 Video Card

    4. Sell Old Video Card + Buy HD7750 Video Card

    5. Sell Old Video Card + Buy an appropriate nvidia card

    6. Try software deinterlacing with CoreAVC and existing hardware
