First i've checked if my quality and strengh are up to par, they are. My Humax decoder tells me on both my cables (two tuners) a strengh of 90%+ and quality 100%, that sould be enough.

For the second problem i've tried numberous of codecs (MS-DTV, PowerDVD, LAV-Video, SAF 4, 5 and 6), all of them have exactly the same problem.

I tried playing the HD stream in a different program, that works just fine (Anysee TV-Viewer).

I found a thread on this forum for modded tsreader.ax files, i think i've tried all of them, but none seem to work, one somewhat better then the other, but none of them fix the problem completely. Now I use the default one which came with 1.2.2 of MP.

Does someone know what i can check of even better, how to fix?

    Hi mhoogenbosch

Those PES messages generally indicate that the stream is scrambled or otherwise encrypted. Have you tried to play the timeshift file in VLC or some other software to confirm it is unscrambled correctly?

    Hi again

Respectfully, that doesn't answer the question. CAMs can sometimes be unreliable like that which is why I asked the question - I want to be sure whether the timeshift buffer that stutters in MP really is perfectly okay, not just the channel. Please be honest: are you using M***I?

I am using M***I indeed, on SD channels no problem with stutter at all, not even a glidge only the sometimes stops. If that is because de way i'm using the M***I I can life with that. But the stutters on HD channels is a bit annoying. You say I have to check that with a VLC stream? I'll check that first.

Is there btw a reason why you ask me to be honest? Because through M***I is the only way in holland to watch DVB-C (with the exception of a few lucky ones with a different provider) through MP. I can understand you don't want to discusse cardsharing, but i've got two tuners with both a card, so no sharing here. No disrespect ofcourse and not intended to start a agrument, just curious.

I finally had time to check using VLC to tune into the HD stream, this works very well. I've watched Discovery HD for about 60 mins, no problems at all. Can i check anything else?

I watched Discovery HD showcase all night now within VLC and no glidges / stutter at all.

I played with the Deinterlance mode, with the different settings i get different results, when i use none i get the stuttering after a while, with bob / best the stream stays stable longer but begint to stutter a lot worse...
