Hi callworth, that is great news! Getting my HDHR working with 1.0 is my last major hangup.

I have a few questions about your success.

1) do you still have the second tuner installed and working simultaneously with the HDHR?
2) did you have to use the new SVN for MP 1.0 that was just posted a few days ago or just the 1.0 installer?
3) in the HDHR setup did you specify MediaPortal as the application or something else?

I have my Hauppauge card for input from my STB, and then the tuners from the HDHR. I didn't have to remove the Hauppauge or disable it to do a scan as some have said.
I used the standard 1.0 release. No SVN.
Yes, I set MediaPortal as the application and then I did a scan on both tuners within the HDHR setup app. Then I opened the MediaPortal TV Server configuration and did a scan on each tuner. That was it!

I too have my hdhomerun working now! Thanks for the inputs everyone.

As a note you can set the application in the HDHR setup to "Other: ATSC/Remap" and the scan in MP TV Server (uncheck "Tune QAM instead of ATSC") will only find the channels you have checked off in the HDHomerun setup. Saves the time of looking through the many (I had a few hundred) tv and radio channels that dont really work. When I get some more time I want to check out what all those other channels are, but for now I am happy getting my major networks working again.

Still not working?

Hi All
callworth, glad you have your HDHR working with your other tuners. I have my HDHR now working on my laptop. The HDHR are the only tuners on the laptop.
Questions to all:
Did you put (cut and paste) new capturecard definations in the captureCardDefinitions.xml file, as the Silicon Dust website instructs? I did not do that on my laptop and the tuners worked. I also update my BVA drivers per the wiki site instructions.. But still I get the same result on my main media computer with the Hauppage tuners. The HDHR just zips thru scanning channels with none found.

for those who have gotten your HDHR working with other tuners, can you list the steps you took to get it working?

Thanks
still fustrated

No you don't have to do any of the copy and paste if you use the TV Server engine. You only need the copy and paste if you use the old TV2 engine that's built into MediaPortal.

I can confirm that the HD Home Run does not work when you have other cards present in the system. It doesn't even matter if the other cards are disaled, you have to disable them from the Widows device manager to get the HD Home Run to work at all.

What happens is when you try to scan for channels, it zips through it very quickly but does not find any channels. The other card continues to work as normal.

I'm not really sure where to look for logs or other documentation of this result, if anybody can think of what files would help in diagnosing this, I will be happy to post them here.

Thanks!

nickman, I have additional cards and am running with no problem. I didn't have to remove them or disable them to get the HDHR working. What versions do you have for the following?

HDHR Firmware:
HDHR Software:
MP:
MP TV Server:

I have the same issue: HDHR with Hauppauge 2250. The HDHR scans and zips through it really fast without locking on any channels. The HDHR software finds all just fine. IF I disable the 2250, the HDHR works just peachy!

I will do a UNINSTALL making sure all is clean from the system. Then do a FRESH install. This worked when I was using my OnAir GT to get the HDHR working...I just dont want to go through all the setups again - ugghh. I guess I will test the backup config tonight.

I just want both to play nice with each other so I can record 3 channels and watch one...

Did a complete uninstall. Standard install with TV Server.

Nothing works. I tried with the HDHR disabled on install. Tried the 2250 disabled on install. Tried both disabled on install. I always scanned in HDHR sw first on both tuners before going into TVServerConfig.

The HDHR will NOT coexist with the 2250.

However, I installed MP on another box without tuners so I use that to record to my TV folder so my HTPC can access it. It works just fine there.

I really hope that someone figures out the issue why the HDHR does not work well with other tuners!!!

Any word on this issue? I'm debating a move from SageTV but really need my HDHomerun and PVR-150 to play nice in the sandbox...
