There is a new (beta) version of CecRemote for Pulse Eight devices available:

- support for full custom key mappings using "standard" MediaPortal mapping form
- (highly) experimental fast scrolling option, which allows quick scrolling of lists if your TV sends repeated CEC-commands
- reconnection to CEC-adapter after sleep/hibernate
- it's possible to set device type (recorder, avr, etc.) from settings

Installation:

- connect CEC-adapted to USB-port and install drivers for it if necessary
- download mpe-file and install
- set HDMI-port (TV's port number where your computer is connected) from settings

If you go to configuration->test and press those buttons, what key codes does it send, if any?

    Thx for the plugin.
I have tested too. But for me it does not work. The testpage does not recognize any button.

    Here are my settings:
    Adapter status: connected
    FW: 2
    Port: 2
    TV: Philips
    Receiver: none
device type: recording device (what is that setting for?)

I did not find anything in the logs.

Is the plugin compatible with MePo 1.23?

Yes, it is compatible with 1.2.3. The device type setting sets the type of HDMI-device that is reported to TV. Some TV's send different keys to CEC with different types, so you could test for example with "Playback device".

I probably have to do some debugging and add decent log messages for new beta release. It works very well and stable though with my Sony Bravia TV.

Now it works. I had to change the active port on the Tv. From 2 to 1 and back.

    What I have mentioned:
sometimes a button press is recognized as two button presses
the home button does not work. It does also not work in the configuration window. Is it possible to get it working?

    Thx again

Megahorst and xetic. Could you download the cec-config-gui from Pulse Eight and go to "log output" tab, press all those buttons that do not work and after that one button that does work, save the log and post it.

    Hi,

Thx for the plugin - it works very good with my Samsung, but some Buttons (Play, Pause, Stop etc.) doesn't work. But it seems that the TV doesn't transmit them over the HDMI cable. So this is not a problem with the Plugin itself.

    Big thx for your work
