I've recently replaced a Hauppauge PVR-150 card with a WinTV HVR-1300 to take advantage of DVB-T broadcasts in my area. However, when I try to view HD channels in MP, the computer appears to sit for ~15s before returning an "Unable to start time shifting. No video/audio detected" error. The channels appear as a grey box with just the audio playing when previewed in the TV server configuration screen.
After some experimentation I have discovered that the channels display perfectly when the Powercinema 5 software (provided with the card) is also installed. Normally I would be happy to install the software and ignore it while continuing to use MP, except that the Powercinema software responds to the MCE remote control I am using and continues to launch itself in the background. I am also finding that Powercinema messes with all the audio settings on the computer.
Does anyone have any suggestions how I might be able to get the HD channels working without installing the Hauppauge software, or how to prevent Powercinema responding to the remote?
Thanks
I've attached logs from trying to open a HD channel both before and after I have installed Powercinema. Hopefully someone with a better idea of how to read them might find them useful
