Hi,

watching HDTV channel Astra HD+ i've got a problem.
I use CoreAVC codec for H.264 content.
The first time I start MP TV is fine, the next times I start MP there are interlace stripes in the picture.
After I changed deinterlace method in coreavc-settings stripes are gone. Next start MP stripes are there again.
With Cyberlink codec I get always interlace.
This is for 720p resolution.
On 1080i I get no interlace but but big white stripes.
Issue seems to be independent from CPU usage.
I also tried playing with de-interlace settings in MP and CoreAVC codec but no changes.
I got these problems on 2 different PCs.
What can I do?
Mybe this logs can help.

thx

have you tried the reg-tweaks for the 2600-card? I think this might help.
I had the same issues, when watching HDTV material.

google for arfster regtweaks, in avsforums.

    cheers

Did it work for you after changing this registry entries?
Had you to change other settings?
When I read the descritption for this tweaks I don't think there are any improvements.
    thx

Ok I tried this registry tweaks but no improvements.
It was possible to set coreavc codec settings to hardware de-interlacing but nothing changed.
I think it has something to with the codec Astra HD+ is using.
AnixeHD has never interlacing. HD videos which are also using coreavc codec have no interlace too.
    any ideas?

I noticed that the frequency changes when I turn on TV from 50Hz to 60Hz. What does this mean?

    thx

You should have 50hz when (I guess you are on PAL Region) you watch TV so please set your catalyst center to a resoution with 50hz.
    Maybe this fixes your problem...

    cheers

Frequency get changed to 60Hz when I start TV.
It doesn't matter what I set in Catalyst.
I see, this could be de real issue for my interlace problem.
Maybe the logs can be usefull to find a reason why MP changes from 50Hz to 60Hz.
I would be happy if someone can help me to find out what the problem is.

    thx

I noticed that Astra HD+ is using vc-1 codec for broadcasting.
Because nothing was displayed when I disabled vc-1 support in coreavc-settings.

When I connect a TFT monitor the frequenzy does not change.

what does this mean? whats wrong any ideas?
