Ok thanks for checking out, must be ati. I have a computer here WIN7,XP and vista all 32 bit who cannot play this stream smooth. I read somewhere that nvidia has its error correction better under conrol than ati at the moment. I'll try to borrow a nvidia card from a friend. (He owns a computershop so we have plenty of components available for testing.)

Dont go rushing into buying new hardware, NVIDIA has the issues also.

It's software rather than hardware causing these issues for sure.

Or the transission quality itself, there have been lots of criticism over bitrates being lowered causing problems for viewers.

Yep, can confirm that, unable to upgrade to any driver newer than 190.45, which the card ships with, after that BSOD.

Doh ! Got it playing fine. But only with CoreAvc. It plays with 25 fps, other codes try to play at 50 fps but struggle playing it at around 41 fps.

Hi - im having similar problems on my MP clients i.e. live HD TV streaming 'stuttering'.

I can watch live HD TV on my high spec server no problem (Windows 7 64bit, 8GB RAM, 6TB total Hard drives, 1GB NVidia HD 9600 Graphics) BUT my 3 MP clients (all running MP 1.1 RC1) can't stream live HD TV without video 'stuttering'! I have EVERYTHING else streaming to my MP clients perfectly, including SD TV but just not HD TV.......please help!
My 3 clients are all different - 1 ZOTAC ION Dual Core N330 @ 1.6GHz (Windows 7), a Dual Core Intel @ 2.5GHz with integrated NVidia HD chipset (Windows Vista 32) and a Dual Core HD capable Intel CPU Laptop running at 2.3GHZ (Windows XP) - all 3 clients have 2GB RAM, running MP 1.1 RC1.

I have tried lots of CODECS, including DivX 8.xx, Cyberlink PDVD 9 & 8, Arcsoft, Microsoft DTV, MP etc etc but they all suffer from the same 'stuttering' problem - some clients are slightly better than others but all unwatchable. I will try CoreAVC as this is about the only CODEC I havent tried yet...........maybe just maybe.

All clients are connected via 1Gb Ethernet to a D-Link router, which is updated with the latest firmware..........I thought it might be a network traffic problem but I'm not even using 10%!

I've been using MP for a couple of years now, so I know the configuration quite well but this one problem has beat me............(

    Can anyone help???

Got it sorted out now. Setting deïnterlace settings in the configuration panel from Cyberlink PowerDVD to default did solved the problems on all my systems here. Standard it is set to a long hex string wich does not say anything to me.

It looks lile hardware deïnterlace settings are used by all codes wich do use hardware deïnterlacing, this explains why my problem happend with every codec exept coreavc.

Hi Doc - which version of PDVD are you referring to, as I can't find the deinterlace options in the PDVD configuration menus??
Do you mean the CODEC config page in MP config??

    I'm running PDVD 8 Ultra.

Do you have Live HD TV running on your MP clients - Ethernet or wireless?

    Cheers

How do you get it to play at 25fps? Mine is always 50 fps and actually running at aboaut 41 fps with every codec.

@ Scottydog : You find the options in PowerDVD 8 under "options - video - advanced".

Yes I run HD over the net 100 Mb is more than enough, wireless gives me headaches because windows drops the connection from time to time.

@ Cypher : The codec just does, it should play at 50 but doesn't with coreavc.
