Re: HeadWeb Failed to render file -> vmr9

Hi Pilehave, thanks for the plugin - it makes or would make my media center complete.
The problem is that I cannot get it to play any trailer, movie or samples. In the error.log i've found: "HeadWeb Failed to render file -> vmr9"
I used Watchdog.exe to generate the attached log report. It seems to store all relevant info, if something is missing the please write.

Hope you can help.:D

Hi Mingo59 :)

Do you have the "OnlineVideos" plugin installed? If not, could you try and install this? It installs the need source filter...

:sorry:

Hej Pilehave, thanks for the quick reply, and no i had not installed it - i have now, but it still does not work.
Do I need to install converters in order to run Onlinevideoes?
It appears so as when I run the test (codes>splitter) then does AVI and WMV work but flv, mp4 and mov replies with: "Could not render output pins of File Source (URL)".
På forhånd tak for hjælpen.
Mingo59:confused:

How is your codec setup in MediaPortal Configuration? Especially, which codecs have you selected in "Video Codecs"? Do you have a "splitter" installed? Could be either Haali Splitter or LAV Splitter.

Improvement! I installed Haali splitter, and now is only flv not working :) My codes definition are attached.
I've downloaded the LAV splitter. That solved the last issue.

Thanks for your support, Pilehave

Thanks, I'd appreciate if you could have a look! I have attached a zip with
the XML files from the streamedmp folder.

/P

I found the problem, and it is indeed inside the StreamedMP files.
The problem is located in this control, in myvideoFilmstripView.xml:

Code:
<control>
<type>textbox</type>
#mpaarating
<posX>410</posX>
<posY>365</posY>

mediastream10
<visible>facadeview.filmstrip+control.isvisible(4441)+!string.starts(#mpaarating,<)+!string.starts(#mpaarating,unknown)</visible>
<animation effect="fade" time="250">WindowOpen</animation>
<animation effect="fade" time="250">WindowClose</animation>
</control>

See the CDATA? Not allowed in a visibility condition. I think the StreamedMP skin-file is the problem. Removing the condition fixes the problem for me. You could try it as well. If it does fix it, I'll have to ask the StreamedMP team to fix it on their side.

EDIT: I don't know what is up or down on this issue, I could recreate the problem with your files, but installing latest StreamedMP and rebooting fixed the issue. The code in myvideoFilmstripView.xml is the same though.

Anyways, try reinstalling again and maybe reboot.

Hi again, thanks for having a look at this problem. I just tried your suggestions with the following results:
- update streamed mp and reboot did not help
- removing the line with CDATA that you pointed out did not help
- deleting myvideoFilmstripView.xml completely from the streamedmp folder did fix the problem!

So, the root cause remains but, as I don't use myvideos, my issues are gone for the moment :)

Thanks /P

No problem, but if you switch to filmstrip-view in HeadWeb it probably won't work correctly. It is a quite weird problem. Haven't figured out why it acts crazy. I may just skip that import-file and just do the skinning myself ;)

Hi, I have had problems with jitter using the webbinterface for Headweb but while trying Reflex I found this plugin. Very good soo far, with no jitter. My problem now is that the wife wants to see "En gång i Phuket" but it seems the plugin doesn't find it? We added it to "favorites" but it fails to play. Can this be a problem with the Swedish char in the title?

Any help is appriciated!
